Hi All

Just a quick update on my Tornado project.
In April 2016 I received the Tornado 16-bit x86 assembly source code and was looking for a programming team.
In August 2017, having contacted some and ending up with none,  I decided to try my hand at the assembly language code - I compiled and linked my first FLIGHT.EXE executable.
As of February 2018, I am happy to announce that I have done over 40 minor changes and hacks to the classic DOS flight simulator Tornado.

The lesson I have learnt is this: if at first you can't find someone else to do the job, try and try again. Then only give up and learn the trade yourself and do the job yourself.

A happy new year to all! It is now 2018, the 25th Anniversary of Digital Integration's Tornado.
Notwithstanding the amazing and incomparable DCS series, and not forgetting the IL2 Sturmovik series, Cliffs Of Dover, FSX, X-Plane11, X-Trident's Tornado module, Falcon BMS 4.33 and many other modern flight simulators, Tornado is and will forever be a classic 10 Megabyte powderkeg of a simulation. Made possible by DOSBox and the availability of Tornado's 3D simulation engine source code. A lot has happened since my first 'hello world' type compilation and linking of the source code to create a modded FLIGHT.EXE file, back in August 2017. I finally discovered to compile and link Tornado source code to produce a working FLIGHT.EXE today. Major milestone for me. Basically here are the steps:
We have setup a Discord server just for Tornado 2 discussions, networking and sharing with seven other Tornado gamers. The purpose of the server is to pool the resources of Tornado-fans. We would like to work with like-minded fans everywhere and members of the ex-Digital Integration development team, to enhance the game, in time for its 25th anniversary in 2018.

An aviation industry worker who used to play Tornado has now rekindled interest in modding the game. AH, as he is known has used his knowledge of assembly language, aviation work experience and his love for flight simulation, to write two hacks for Digital Integration's venerable and dated sim, Tornado.

I have 'show-cased' some of his early efforts to enhance the Tornado code. Mostly simple hacks and such, but nevertheless a good achievement considering that no one else is modding Tornado in 2017:,5046.msg23261.html#msg23261
I wanted to know if it was true that from 2012, Digital Integration's Intellectual Property was owned by iEntertainment Network. If so, then that would mean that Tornado is owned by iEN, Source:

So on 4th July 2017, I emailed iEntertinment Network to verify this. Wild Bill (WB) replied to me via E-mail two days later:

Mr. Kam,
IENT does not own Tornado.

So who owns Tornado?
